Find out how the Parisian theatrical masterpiece came to be

Tickets are now on sale for an extensive world-first collection that pieces together the life of Victor Hugo – creator of broadway blockbuster Les Misérables. Coming just in time for the musical's descent onto Her Majesty's Theatre, this exhibition will take visitors back to 19th century Paris to explore how the writer's personal experiences shaped his masterpiece.

Original manuscripts, photographs, paintings, drawings and publications will breathe life into Hugo's passions, family and social conscience. You'll also encounter original items from the musical productions of Les Misérables including scripts, scores, costumes, set designs, posters, photographs and film from the Mackintosh archive.
