Harmonious pop duo, A Great Big World, bring their heartfelt ballads down under

American singer-songwriter duo A Great Big World, also known as Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino, are bringing their melodic talent to Australia this August for a tour.

Both Axel and Vaccarino were music business students attending The Steinhardt Music Program at New York University when one day they decided to pen a song together, much to our delight, and the result is heartfelt ‘sensitive pop’. Their single ‘Say Something’ released in late 2013 saw this beautiful piano ballad shoot straight to a platinum hit, with their version of the song performed with Christina Aguilera hitting number 1 on the iTunes chart. This is music that tugs at the heartstrings, and not in a sappy over-done way, but with honesty and clean musical components.

The tour comes as the result of the success of their debut album Is There Anybody Out There? released in January of this year.
