Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

Victorian Opera and Malthouse Theatre are bringing Tim Winton’s award-winning novel to life in this operatic adaptation. The Riders tells the story of a man who has his world turned upside down by the unexpected disappearance of his wife and, with his daughter in tow, he embarks on a quest through their old haunts in Europe to find her. Taking on the lead role is critically acclaimed Australian baritone Barry Ryan, joined by Melbourne soprano Jessica Aszodi playing his wife, and new-comer Isabela Calderon playing his daughter.
