Ring in the new year with a five-day music festival 

Better start trying your luck with the Falls Music and Arts Festival ticket ballot soon if you're planning on spending New Year's Eve at what is arguably Australia's biggest music festival. Aside from the crackin' line-up, punters can expect celebrate the new year with rolling green amphitheatres, multiple stages, bountiful nature, free camping, great food options, and interactive arts.

We've made sorting through the line-up easier for you with this quick run-through of who you can expect to soundtrack your coastal summer getaway:

Foals, Disclosure and Bloc Party.

Who’s going to get the party started?
Alpine, Rufus, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Kurt Vile and the Violators, Hilltop Hoods, Django Django, Birds of Tokyo, Gang of Youths, The Maccabees, Toro Y Moi, Young Fathers, Kira Puru.

Who will soothe your inevitable hangover?
Chill kids set to grace Falls stages include: Courtney Barnett, Mac DeMarco, Paul Kelly and merry Soul Sessions (featuring Clairy Browne), Børns, Oh Wonder, Meg Mac, Little May, Dan Sultan, Vika and Linda Bull, The Avener, Seth Sentry.

Who’s on for Boogie Nights?
You’ll want to get your dancing shoes ready for Boogie Nights, Falls’s official party starter that’s set to take off on the first night at each location (Lorne: December 28, Marion Bay: December 29, Byron: December 31). Expect Art vs Science, El Vez, Fleetmac Wood, and Weird Al Yankovic, with more to be announced.

Falls plays Lorne, VIC from Dec 28, 2015-Jan 1, 2016; Marion Bay, TAS from Dec 29, 2015-Jan 1, 2016 and Byron Bay, NSW from Dec 31, 2015-Jan 3, 2016.

Along with the Falls three main festivals, our WA friends are also getting some love with the inaugural Southbound festival at Busselton in January 2016. If you’re going to be in town for the festival, expect the Falls Festival line-up in all its glory and more to kick things off in the new year.
