A night on the picnic rug with Clare Bowditch and more home-grown talent under the stars
If you’ve had your fill of frenzied festivals full of glaze-eyed youths in cow suits, take things down a notch and settle in for some live music under the stars at Carnegie’s Packer Park.
Joining celebrated roots act Tinpan Orange, led by Titian chanteuse Emily Lubitz, and 14-year-old whippersnappers High Voltage (winner of Glen Eira City Council’s Battle of the Bands) will be headliner Clare Bowditch.
The Coburg-based singer-songwriter, who has been performing live since her teens, has released a swag of indie-folk albums, supported Leonard Cohen, interpreted Eva Cassidy through some special shows and reguarly broadcasts on the ABC.
So don't pack away the picnic rug just yet because here's a great excuse to head outdoors on one of the last glorious nights of summer.
