Eight years, guys. It's only been eight freakin' years
Yes, finally, Radiohead are making the trip down for a handful of shows – and they insist these are the only Australian gigs they're doing.
After an eight year hiatus, Radiohead release their eighth studio album, The King of Limbs. From the melodic, grungey throes of early single 'Creep' to genre-bending, avant garde electronica, Radiohead are game-changers with a worldwide following that crosses generations and only seems to grow stronger over time. Anyone who caught their 2004 tour will tell you it’s something to tell the grandkids about.
If the online buzz is anything to go by, tickets will be the hottest tickets in town but also the toughest to get and the official word is that no extra shows will be announced. Fans are advised to fire up the inter-webs good and early before the regular release of tickets go on sale online this Thursday morning at the stroke of nine. If you missed out on pre-sale tickets there’s still hope for this next round and may the mouse-clicking force be with you.
