The Empress Hotel has become ingrained in the Melbourne music psyche... she oughta be – she's celebrating her 25th year. Yep, the Empress has hosted over 8000 genteel shows – including the White Stripes, Augie March and Lanie Lane, and she plans to keep on breaking out the best pot glasses. She was there when your favourite band was born, and she'll outlive them, too.
