The symbolic rockers head our way

First published on . Updated on .

We pondered what to title this gig for a bit; go with the mathematical symbol (∆) and risk it looking like a whacky coding mistake, or stick with our style and name is just what is it, Alt-J. In the end, we did both. The symbol infact represents 'change' in equations and was conjured up as a band name at a turning point in the band members’ lives.

Symbols aside the boys from ∆ will be making their way to Australia for their debut tour. Navigating a wide range of genres from art rock and trip-hop to folk and electronic, the boys will be bringing their unique sounds to the Ding Dong lounge.
