The Garden Party

While Melbourne Recital Centre is known for top quality classical acts, the team are keen to reinforce the fact that the programming is more diverse than you might imagine. To this end, they’ve gone to t’other extreme and are putting on a season of indie pop and rock, in vacant ground behind the centre.

Your job is to merely relax in a deckchair or on a luscious lawn and chug on a drink while the likes of the Bamboos, Husky, Jens Lekman, Van She, Art of Sleeping, Mia Dyson, Graveyard Train, Gossling and many others grace the stage for your entertainment. Blow us if we can’t think of a more winsome way to while away an evening. Food and drink available on site.

This weekend's line-up:

Fri 8 Feb: Can She / Oscar + Martin / Soft War (Gates open at 5pm, live music from 6pm)

Sat 9 Feb: The Raah Project / Electric Empire / Jonti (Gates open at 5pm, live music from 6pm)

Sun 10 Feb: Gurrumul / Tinpan Orange / Mia Dyson (Gates open at 2pm, live music from 3pm)
