Australian jazz guitarist Albare has been racking up plenty of critical acclaim off the back of his 2012 album Long Way – Germany's Jazzpodium described him as "a positive blend of the late Wes Montgomery and an early George Benson". And they weren't wrong.
This May Albare (Albert Dadon when he's not on stage) takes to the Melbourne Recital Centre for a show that will feature songs from Long Way. The gig follows a huge international tour and successful performances at Sydney's Basement and Seymour Centre last year.
Albare will be accompanied by drums, bass and piano – he chooses his musicians from among the best in the world. And he's one of the best in the world. So... this is one jazz fans won't want to miss.
