One of big acts at this year’s Melbourne International Jazz Festival is the Rebirth Brass Band. Formed in New Orleans in the early '80s while the original members were still in school, the band has evolved from playing the streets of the French Quarter to touring internationally with music greats such as the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Their horn-driven sound fuses vintage New Orleans jazz with heavy funk, soul, hip-hop and R&B, playing booming up-tempo tunes, spirituals, rags and originals with a traditional feel and contemporary sensibility.

This seven-piece powerhouse will bring their multi-layered groove and jubilant atmosphere to the Forum in this unmissable live show.
