Melbourne gets a new hip hop festival

After two successful years in Brisbane, Spring Hip Hop Festival will be making a journey down south to make its debut in Melbourne. With a line up pulls big chart-toppers together alongside emerging local acts from across the country, so you can expect a day of tight rhymes, big hooks and plenty of hand drops and head bops.

The first round of acts includes 360, Drapht, Seth Sentry, Funkoars, Horrorshow, Thundamentals, Diafrix, Brad Strut, Allday, the Crate, Bam Bam, Lazy Grey and Jake Biz, Dialectrix, Purpose, Mr Hill and Rahjconkas, K12, Eloji, Komplete, Chelsea Jane, Savo and Urthboy.

After the fairly average run of hip hop festivals this country has seen, it's great to see this bash deliver a solid line-up.

Tickets on sale July 8.
