Tomas Lorenzo: Memories de Barcelona

This event has finished

Tomas Lorenzo brings his blend of traditional Spanish, rock and pop music to the Toorak Uniting Church for his Memories de Barcelona show

Spanish-Australian guitarist, composer and music theorist Tomas Lorenzo will be presenting Memories de Barcelona at the Toorak Uniting Church. Heavily influenced by traditional Spanish music and the ’70s Australian rock scene he grew up with, Lorenzo has arranged a series of eight compositions that blend flamenco, jazz and pop music.

Appearing alongside Lorenzo for Memories de Barcelona will be Jeremy Alsop (Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter) on bass, percussionist Steve Falk (Melbourne Symphony Orchestra), Jordan Murray (lecturer in Jazz Studies at Monash University) on trombone and the Wominjika Vocal Quartet.
