Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

Does a crowd have a life of its own?

Do you lose yourself in a crowd and become apart of a mass? Or are you still an individual being, capable of your own thought? A multimedia performance that mashes together photography by Jon Frank and music by the Australian Chamber Orchestra explores the psychology of a crowd. Time lapse footage of pulsating heavy metal mosh pits, lonely traffic in the streets of Tokyo and elated football crowds is beamed on stage and accompanied by an one hundred person strong choir and orchestra. Artistic Director Richard Tognetti leads the audience through an eclectic mix of scores including, Debussy, Ives, Chopin, Crumb, Dean and traditional Icelandic music.
