Time Out Melbourne

The hallowed halls of the Festival Hall have rung with the screams of fans for the biggest acts to ever tour Australia. Right from the start there was the Beatles and Johnny Cash, and 40 years later came the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and local powerhouse Powderfinger. If it's the sort of show that people might stampede then it'll be at the Festival Hall. If rock'n'roll isn't really your cup of tea then the Hall also moonlights as a boxing ring and roller-derby rink making it in essence as close to the Colosseum as Melbourne is going to get.
