So earlier this year Neil Perry took Spice Temple to a new level by introducing the formerly eschewed Cantonese cuisine onto the menu with yum cha lunches. Now, together with head chef Ben Pollard, Perry will be presenting a one-off dinner at Spice Temple to take you through the exotic flavours of the Yunnan province. It's China's biggest melting pot of cultures, and the cuisine in unique, taking on influences from neighbouring countries, Burma, Laos, and Vietnam. The hot and spicy flavours that characterise this region will be on full display, and one of Yunnan’s most famous dishes, the ‘Crossing the Bridge’ Noodles (essentially, Chinese ramen) will be featured on menu. If you've never experienced Yunnan cuisine, old ponytail Perry's version is probably a good place to start. Giddyup!
