Devouring your body weight in dumplings and jasmine tea amidst the hustle and bustle of little Bourke Street sounds like a pretty sweet way to spend a summer evening. The opening event of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival will transform the pavements of Chinatown into an outdoor eatery. While its claim to be creating the world’s largest outdoor yum cha is difficult to prove, there will undoubtedly be an impressive array of tasty morsels, terrifyingly ambiguous dishes, and a whole new galaxy of dumplings to try.
