Nopal: the prickly pear or cactus. It's not exactly an ingredient that many Melburnians can say they have familiarised themselves with. However, for this year’s Food and Wine Festival, Señoritas will be introducing nopales to the Melburnian palate. Explorar Nopales will incorporate the Mexican ingredient in a vast number of ways – from Gazpacho to Sorbet – in order to exhibit its versatility. As an added bonus, prickly pear Tommy’s Margaritas will also be available during the event.
