Las Laneway Fiesta is bringing a Mexican bent to laneways of Melbourne with a pop-up taqueria. On the opening night there will be tequila and mezcal cocktails by Cabo Wabo and Espolón for the drinking, regional tacos by ex Mamasita Chef Guillermo Ortiz for the snacking and Latin tunes, Aztec beats, video art, and live graffiti from four up-and-coming street artists taking care of the entertainment side of things.

But stay tuned. Each week has a slightly different theme to the art, music and food. With Las Laneways Fiesta taking care of the launch weekend, week two will see the lane transformed into a Mexican field hacienda to celebrate Cinco de Mayo eve. The third week you are looking at From Oaxaca with Love, and then closing out the month of festivities will be the Eat, Pray & Drink Tequila Closure Fiesta. Arriba!
