Presented by Pope Joan's Matt Wilkinson, Meet the Producers will introduce local food producers and their products to customers

Meet the Producers is a once-per-month event series presented by Pope Joan chef and co-owner Matt Wilkinson at his produce store Hams & Bacon. The series will see Wilkinson hosting one of his favourite food producers every month in an effort to introduce consumers to the people who grow the food they’re eating. During the events, guests will be able to sample the produce alongside an after work drink.

The first producers up are Tim and Katrina Myers of Barham Avocados, who produce four varieties of pesticide-free avos.

Meet the producers will not run in November due to the Spring Racing Carnival, but the rest of the year will host the following producers:

Bundarra Berkshires on Tuesday September 3rd
Seven Hills Tallarook Goat on Tuesday October 8th
And Warialda Belted Galloways on Tuesday December 3rd
