The chef’s here are going for an up-market take on Christmas food over two lunch sittings. We know there is going to be duck, tuna ceviche, white gazpacho and free-range turkey. What else remains a delicious mystery. Adults $125, children $62.50.



The Westin’s restaurant is sandwiching your choice of classic Christmas main meals between entree and dessert buffets. Adults $199, children $95.

Get continental this Christmas with a four-course French feast by the seaside in St Kilda. Dry-aged sirloin, crayfish and leek terrine are on the menu, as are oysters from Moonlight Flat and poached peaches. $190pp.



Crown’s upmarket buffet restaurant is staying open for lunch and dinner for seafood sessions on the 25th. There'll be sushi and a cold seafood bar, roasted crayfish and seared barramundi, plus a chocolate fountain to really push you into food coma territory. Adults $230, children $120.

Merry Christougena! Treat the family to four courses of Greek Christmas lunch that includes turkey from the spit and baked ham. Adults $125, children $70. 



Pork knuckle, pork belly, pork loin, potato dumplings and all the German trimmings are on a three-course set menu at Hodfbrauhouse this Christmas. $85pp.

La Camera


La Camera has cast aside their traditional Italian menu for a celebratory feast of ricotta and prawn ravioli, turkey roulade and a Christmas pudding with butterscotch sauce. Adults $80-95, children $35.

James Squire Brewhouse


The local brewhouse is putting on a special a la carte menu for Christmas. Expect king prawns, pan roasted barramundi, a roast with cranberry jus and a selection of parmigianas for an Aussie pub lunch touch.


Fitzroy North

No stuffed turkey, no bread sauce and very few spuds at Matteos for Christmas. They are taking their cues from the best special occasion Asian dishes, including steamed crab, five spice duck and wagyu beef. Adults $170, Children $80. 

Middle Park Hotel

For a sophisticated Christmas pub lunch head to the Middle Park Hotel. Their three-course festive menu features peach Melba trifle, pressed rabbit and coral trout. Adults $125, Children $62.50. 

Newmarket Hotel

St Kilda

Retro-Californian is the theme of St Kilda’s Newmarket Hotel, and so for the big day they are putting on a three-course menu that features lobster, prawns, wild strawberries and dulce de leche. Adults $125, children $62.50.

Livingroom Restaurant


If you’d prefer to dine in the comfort of your own home this Christmas then the Livingroom, in Malvern, is here to help. Their takeaway menu is making a comeback for the festive season. You can get turkey ballotine and honey-baked ham in portions that can cater for around eight people and comes with preparation instructions. Order by Dec 17, pickup Dec 23.
