Fitzroy has a hot new set of wheels
Serving artisan breads and deli wares, boutique beers, wines selected by Anne-Marie Bunting of Lake House fame, and cocktails arranged by Kim Scott of Spice Temple, this is a food van with some serious street cred.
The silver bullet of a caravan is tethered in a lot on Moor Street, Fitzroy, and they've got every base covered in terms of refreshment. Want brunch in the sun? They have a mix and match menu covering your basic eggs and avocado, and moving up to premium gear like duck liver parfait, plus strong coffee and Noisette pastries. At lunch, they're offering ploughman's platters, Moo Brew beer, Matso's ginger beer and camo net shade cloth for taking cover. Come the evening (as of the 29th of February), you'll be able to kick on till 10pm, wetting your whistle on 'tails, and (so they tell us) downing hot dogs and dominating at table tennis in the adjoining greenhouse.
We predict a hell of a lot of good times ahead.
