The Bell Jar gets the cute-as-a-button badge, and in all likelihood, the patrons of this converted shopfront café have probably made them on at a crafternoon session. Situated down the unfrequented northern end of Smith Street, the Bell Jar is as warm and cosy inside as the exterior is industrial and barren. Coffee is a great pour of Five Senses, and a breakfast of thick corncakes piled up with poached eggs, crisp bacon and chipotle relish is enough to warrant some concern for the strength of your recycled school chair.
Like their food? Lonely? The Bell Jar also do 'Cook For Me' pop up dinners each Thursday for a sweet $20.
