Time Out Melbourne

Good news, socially conscious snackers: we've got a new restaurant, created by entrepreneurial poverty-fighting organisation YGAP, where all profits go towards youth education projects in Australia, Asia and Africa. That means you're doing good just by raising fork to face. The name references a feast celebrated in North-Eastern India, which typically involves erecting stone or wooden monuments and sacrificing a large cow. Sadly/thankfully, neither event will transpire over the opening weekend. What you can expect is a Middle Eastern-cum-mod-Oz menu spanning breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks made even more inviting by head chef Ravi Presser’s dedication to locally sourced ingredients.
