Talk about your quality Italian Gelato – this place is the real deal. Lisa Valmorbida travelled to Italy and learnt from the ice-cream experts at the Carpigiani Gelato University before opening Pidapipó here in Melbourne. All the gelato is made on site from scratch with 100 percent fresh fruit and natural ingredients. With all our favourite flavours as well as special weekly creations – like apple crumble and passionfruit soaked savoiardi with passionfruit curd in fior di latte – you literally can’t go past this place without trying a scoop.

The permanent Pidapipó Gelateria is located at 229 Lygon St, Carlton, opening Friday December 12.
