Celebrating my 48th birthday weekend with my wife, we concluded with a Sunday afternoon of relaxation to check out the new Carlton Wine Room. We were not disappointed. We started with a couple of glasses of Champaign and then allowed Marcel to match the wines with the dishes we selected. The spectacular food was only enhanced by the unique wines that I have never sampled before. This is why I love going to a wine bar/room. Let someone else do the heavy lifting pertaining to what we should try with our dish. Jay arrived when we were almost finished and he gave us the tour. He really put a lot of time and thought into getting this place put together. After visiting the basement cellar which diners can book 12 to eat, we began thinking of an event for which we could enjoy this room. After paying the bill, it wasn't cheap but the experience was worth it. We plan on visiting many more times before turning 49.
