Find the ultimate Melbourne brekky in Brunswick East

First published on . Updated on .

Good things are in store for you if you can handle the wait at this new joint from chef Matt Wilkinson (ex-Circa the Prince). Imagine a stinging hangover soothed with long white rolls filled with roast chicken and stuffing. Magic. Or there’s Pope Joan’s bacon-and-egg sarnie with a perfect fried egg sunny side up, all coated in a layer of HP Sauce. Go crazy and add some of the house-made tomato sauce while you’re at it. If you haven’t booked you might find yourself waiting outside nursing one of their excellent coffees. We dig the classy milk crates topped with slabs of marble that double as little tables out the front.
