The younger sibling of Acland Street's iconic Cicciolina, Illona Staller is a brasher, 60s retro paean, all neon lights, perspex bar and leopard print stools. Despite these kooky touches, some of the charm has been lost in a rather mundane Ikea-alike renovation of the beautiful Art Deco building, formerly Carlisle Street's Red Rooster. Where is does improve on the original is the even more stellar menu, and that's what it's all about really.
