As you enter this Greek sweet shop you’re welcomed by Achilles, hero of the Trojan War; the Greek palace named after him, ‘Achillion’, is lit up in blue neon. Greek pop videos play on an old TV in the corner - perfect background music for choosing between baked custard squares of awesome (Galactoboureko), little crescent-shaped walnut biscuits (Kourabiedes), or spinach and cheese pastries (spanikopita). You shouldn't begrudge the few extra kilos you’ve put on after visiting.
