The Substation market brings the bounty of the land to Newport

The Newport Substation opened in 2008 as a hub for art exhibitions, performances and workshops - so it was only natural that the community-minded inner-Westians launched a farmers' market in 2013.

Open on the first and third Sunday of each month, the Substation farmers' market features a colourful spread of organic fruit and veg, handmade pasta, Blue Bay cheese and rustic sourdough. For roast dinner perfection, find Peter from Mallee Dorper Saltbush Lamb and pick up some of his lean, ethically raised lamb.
