Is there any surer sign that summer is ending than the People's Market shutting down for the year? Don't despair just yet though, there is still one week of outdoor food, art and music to indulge in.
The aptly named Last Supper on April the 24th will mark the beginning of the end with a degustation designed by Michael Fox and Matt Forbes.
ANZAC Day (public holiday!) will feature a truly 'live' art auction. Tattoo inspired sketcher Steen Jones and street artist turned NGV 'Top Arts' selection Ruskidd will create art on the spot with proceeds from their work going to charity.
Friday the 26th will see Dr. Piffle and the Burlap Band providing Gypsy- folk beats from 7pm well into the night. Thank goodness the next day is a sort of 'best of' the food stalls, with Phat Brats, the Melt Shop, the Great Gumbo Get Down and more to help with the hangover.
Make sure you're well rested for the Sunday the 28th, as the People's Market says goodbye by closing down Stanley Street for a big ol' party, with tunes by Daniel Merriweather, Airwolf, the Raffaellas, Clubfeet DJs and the Glass Mirrors.
