Time Out Melbourne

Gentlemen, welcome to modern luxury

Easing into an elegant leather armchair on the third floor of historic Hardware Lane, it’s easy to forget that gentleman’s tailor Oscar Hunt opened just three years ago. The layout feels like the most dignified of sitting rooms – but with racks of jackets, overcoats and accessories to peruse.

That said, meet with any of the chilled-out Oscar Hunt lads and you'll soon feel right at home. Consultations and suit fittings are by appointment, and the guys will ensure that your suit reflects your personal style: whether that's loud and colourful or a little bit more demure. Depending on the fabrics you choose, the entire process could take up to seven weeks. But hey – you can't rush perfection. As part of their winter collection, the heavier tweed and Marino wools are sourced from the UK’s quality Huddersfield Cloth range.
