Basement Discs

First published on . Updated on .

Seated comfortably at the bottom of the stairs, unaffected beneath a bustling city thoroughfare is Basement Discs, a long-lauded member of the Melbourne vinyl set. Advocates of seriously fine music in its many decorated splendour, Basement have a marked inclination towards anything blues or folk inspired, and are happy to talk old school soul any old tick of the tock. What's more, the crew at Basement are refreshingly receptive to customer orders, the same of which can be said of but an extremely select few these days. They also welcome mail orders from around Aus, which is undoubtedly a win for our less-vinylly-blessed cousins in far-flung regions.
