A staple in the Melbourne calendar for footy fans and musos alike, June is Community Cup time. Last year had a Nick Cave theme (and some lookalikes invading the pitch), while in 2012 it's schlock-horror band the Cramps. As ever, you can expect some demented cheerleaders, some of whose stubbly jaws will look horrifyingly familiar to regulars at the city's best sticky carpet venues.
And so to the teams! The people behind radio station PBS at 106.7FM – The Megahertz – will be up against a collective of local musicians - The Rockdogs. Music acts for the day include Blue Ruin, Boomgates and Bunny Monroe – all of whom will be covering Cramps toons. The SYN FM annual Free Kick competition will also be held.
