Equitana will be returning to the Melbourne Showground this spring in what is predicted to be the biggest equestrian event of the biennial year.
Originating in Germany in 1972, the Equitana trade fair for equestrian sports has become one of the most well-regarded and highly anticipated events for equestrian athletes and trainers alike. Bringing the event to Melbourne in 1999, each year has been more successful than the last.
The massive four-day Melbourne event is expected attract of 50,000 visitors, and features everything from elite equine competitions, presentations by both Australian and international educators and over 300 stalls selling everything equine enthusiasts could imagine.
Presentations and performances by Olympic medalists including London 2012 competitor Mary King are a special highlight of this year's event, one that is certain to be a crowd pleaser.
Don't forget to stick around for the night time entertainment on Thursday through to Saturday. Expect to see some breathtaking freestyle performances by international guests by duo Richard and Sarah Winters, Kyra Kurklund and many more.
