If the idea of yoga in a thirty five-degree heated room makes you cringe and reformer pilates sounds like a disciplinary term, then it’s time to sweat it out in a different way...

After a year of successful, sweaty classes in Sydney, lycra and spandex-favoured fitness will be making a come back on Wednesday nights in Collingwood.

“I wanted to create a space where you didn't feel the pressure of gyms and you actually get to meet the people in your class and hang out," creator Kirk Docker told us. "It's a social experience as well as a workout, and definitely a laugh”.

Complete with a pumping 80s soundtrack that navigates Wham!, Phil Collins, Chaka Khan and Duran Duran, the class is headed by energetic instructor Alicia Harrington. The choreography is simple to follow but still gets you sweating, with plenty of Flashdance on-the-spot jogging, pelvic thrusts and elbow to knee leg pumps.

Draw inspiration from Jamie Lee Curtis a la Perfect and Olivia Newton John circa 'Let's Get Physical' and dress to impress or just come in your normal gym gear; either way you'll fit right in.
