If you're an early riser, and walking just doesn't cut it anymore, these are the early morning running groups for you

Love the Run

Wake up early on Saturdays and start your day with a group who are just as much into the group comraderie as they are the running and training. All abilities are welcome to join whether training for an event or just for fun. They also do night sessions Tuesdays and Thursdays. Kew.

Victorian Road Runners

The Victorian Road Runners is the perfect running club for families, offering yearly memberships for all ages. Regular runs are held on the first Saturday of each month and other races are scheduled on various days throughout the year. South Yarra.

Albert Park Run

This entirely volunteer-based weekly running group makes excellent use of technology. Runners are required to sign up online prior to their runs, and print their own specific barcode, which they are to bring with them to every run. Barcodes are scanned at the beginning and end of your run, and results are emailed directly to you each time you run. South Melbourne.

Run Ready Morning Run Group

For the recreational runner, the beginner, or returning runner wanting to embark on a group-training experience. Ideal for runners looking to participate in a club, fun run or triathlon event, from 3kms to marathon, or those just wanting train regularly with friends & improve their fitness. They get together Saturday mornings but if you prefer to keep your weekends exercise-free then they also run Tuesday and Thursday mornings at the Hawthorn Malvern Hockey Centre. Burwood East.

Melbourne Adventure Running Training

These guys cover everything from kayaking to cycling, but their running training is Sunday mornings (also Tuesday and Thursday nights). Besides these ‘fun runs’, this club offers a more competitive running culture for those wanting that extra push for motivation. Collingwood.
