Time Out Melbourne

This event has finished

Melbourne City Ballet was founded in 2013 by Artistic Director Michael Pappalardo, who wanted to unite independent dancers and choreographers, to promote the neo-classical movement in Australia.

Consumption is the company's debut performance and kicks off its 2015 season. The performance is divided into two distinct pieces and highlights the contemporary tones of the company.

Kicking off with the abstract 'Quantum', the dancers explore the mechanics of the body. The second act, 'Consumption', exposes the underbelly of society and our constant desire for more.
