3 Big Men Productions present an sprawling tale about ordinary people confronting great personal tragedy
Set in New York at the onset of the AIDS crisis in the 1980s, part one of Kushner's two part epic features three overlapping storylines that form a haunting elegy to the human spirit: Roy Cohen, a corrupt lawyer and closet gay man; a Mormon couple, where the wife struggles through prescription drug addiction and the husband struggles to accept his homosexuality; and a homosexual couple whose once beautiful relationship is forced to endure the battle of long-term illness.
