Honouring 50 years of pretty, precise and perfect dance
The Australian Ballet is turning 50 and everyone is invited to celebrate. Guests from around the world will be attending, including David Hallberg, an international ballet superstar, performing in Australia for five nights only. Joined by ballet companies from Japan, China, Germany and more to be announced, this event will start the season off with a bang.
Harald Lander's 'Etudes' will be performed for the first time in 11 years. A tribute to daily life at ballet training, it is a fitting show for an event as big as this one. Taking the stage with international guests and events that include a Ballet & Fashion show at the National Gallery of Victoria, beauty and grace gets a new benchmark with the Australian Ballet Company.
