Red Stitch's much-lauded production of The Laramie Project - 10 Years Later comes to the Arts Centre Melbourne
In 1998 shockwaves were sent through the town of Laramie after a young gay student, Matthew Shepard, was brutally attacked and murdered. Shortly after this horrific incident members of the Tectonic Theatre Project arrived in Laramie to speak with the locals. Through a series of interviews The Laramie Project was created.
10 years later the original creators returned to the town of Laramie to see how the stigma of this crime had affected them. In this compelling new play, Moises Kaufman guides us through their discoveries in a remount of the lauded Red Stitch production of The Laramie Project - 10 Years Later.
