A smart choice for visitors keen to explore central Melbourne
Citadines on Bourke offers smart apartment-style hotel rooms within easy walking distance of Melbourne’s best laneways and central sights.
Clean and bright standard rooms are fitted with power showers only (no bath) but have everything else you need for a weekend or a longer stay, including a rather good sound system, iron and board, kettle, hob and mini-dishwasher.
One complaint: The front desk needs to be better staffed to avoid queues at peak hours or if there’s more than one person complaining that their key card is not working (tip: do not store your card near your mobile phone).

Citadines was quite reasonable with a good view and seemed a bit older than some of the other serviced apartment blocks - a safer bet for a weekend stay without in-room partying.
