Simon Yates had to make the life and death decision to cut the rope of his climbing partner, Joe Simpson. The climb which took place on the West Face of the Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes, was later made famous by the award winning book and film ‘Touching the Void’.

Now going beyond the 'void' Simon has become one of Britain’s most prolific climbers with a 30-year career that has seen him climb the mountains across the globe. Now Simon is coming to the Lyceum with his new book in tow 'The Wild Within' to enthral you in his tales of adventures.
