A New York fashion scholar reveals why fashion and art are worlds apart
Eminent fashion scholar and director and curator of The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, New York, Valerie Steele is in Sydney as part of Sydney Design. Her lecture focuses on the relationship between art and fashion, explaining why they are on different planes. Valerie Steele will also launch the book, 'Fashion and Art', edited by Australia’s Adam Gezcy and Vicki Karaminas.
