It's Parramatta's turn to embrace Festival First Night
Just as the Sydney CBD has been celebrating all these years, Parramatta has a program that spans the afternoon and evening, from Holly Throsby and The Listies for the kids, through to the stunning acrobatics of As The World Tipped, and with Norman Jay cranking out the music non-stop, this is a day to experience the Festival for free. On the stage at Old King's School, don't miss the Barefoot Divas with Walk a Mile in My Shoes, with the finale from Europe's favourite gypsies, Taraf de Haïdouks & Koçani Orkestar.

If you're new to bungee-assisted dance, do not miss the spectacular 21st century theatrics of the UK's Wired Aerial Theatre: dazzling, jaw-dropping and more than a little dangerous. Best thing I saw on Festival First Night
