Time Out Sydney

This event has finished

This year's Sydney Festival features more than 100 cool events, performances, installations and shows. Wondering where to begin? We've narrowed the field

The Domain will come alive with the sounds of samba and the beats of Brazil at a free show featuring the country’s beloved superstar Seu Jorge. The music of Bach will be played for patient audiences during a four-and-a-half marathon show at City Recital Hall. Kids of all ages will get a rush at Darling Harbour’s Waterfall Swing; Tex Perkins channels the Man in Black with a Johnny Cash tribute concert at the Parramatta Gaol and Hyde Park North will be transformed into a colourful, perception-bending maze with a special installation.

But it's all so much, you say. That’s why we’re here. Every event and installation in this year’s Sydney Festival can be found right here on the Time Out website, but to help you start mapping out your schedule, we’ve created this list of must-sees during this year’s celebration of the Harbour City. Go forth and get planning!
