Time Out Sydney

This event has finished

Earth Hour is back for its ninth year in Sydney, this time to shine a light on Aussie farmers and protecting the nation’s food industry

For one hour each year, lights around the world are switched off to make a statement for energy conservation and to acknowledge climate change. Founded in Sydney and now celebrated in more than 160 countries, Earth Hour is a global event that hopes to shine a light on local environmental concerns. In Australia, Earth Hour will focus on celebrating and protecting Aussie food and farmers. Rising temperatures and extreme weather is an ongoing challenge for farmers across the nation.
