Time Out Sydney

Fly a colourful kite over Bondi's Beach alongside local and international experts

After a day at Bondi Beach's dazzling kite-flying festival, you'll be able to tell your fighters from your boxes and deltas. For those not learned in the language of kite flying, bring along your own creation and get answers from pros who travel from near and far for this annual spring tradition. They'll be showing off their flying skills and artistic handmade creations from 11am. If you haven't brought along a kite, take part in a kite-making workshop. When you need a break from practising, there'll be plenty of other entertainment on the day, including food stalls, an art exhibition, kids' rides and dance workshops.
