The Sydney Olympic Park has a wealth of activities to get you outdoors and having fun in 2012

From large scale events like Big Day Out and the AFL, NRL seasons and V8 Supercars grand prix, to regular school holiday programs and inclusive sporting activities, there is a lot going on at the Sydney Olympic Park.

Kids in the Park
NSW school holidays
This summer the Kids in the Park programme is paying special attention to the silver screen. Little auteurs-in-the-making can hone their skills alongside professional filmmaking company, Cinewest, learning scriptwriting, filming and editing. In the evenings they’ll also find alfresco cinematic inspiration at Movies by the Boulevard, where a fun programme of family-friendly flicks will screen for free in Cathy Freeman Park.

Not a film fanatic? With more than 50 school holiday activities on offer, there’s something to take any child’s fancy. Sporty nippers will want to check out all the action at the Apia International and then attend the Park's Tennis Kids Day; they'll also get a kick (pun intended) out of the free AFL Clinics in Cathy Freeman Park, or can learn a little from the pros at the ANZ Stadium Explore Tour. Young detectives will love the park’s range of treasure hunts, clue trail and bird watching walks, as well as the huge network of bike tracks

On the extensive school holiday programme you’ll also find a huge range of workshops, so learn the art of cookingwriting or flying trapeze amongst others.
