Like you needed an excuse to eat Mexican food. Well, let's say that you did. The good news is that celebrations for Cinco de Mayo are fast approaching, so Mad Mex Fresh Mexican Grill is hosting a week of promotions and special offers.

Cinco de Mayo commemorates an historical battle fought on 5 May 1862, during which 4000 Mexican soldiers fought off twice as many French and traitor Mexican troops at Puebla. The holiday is traditionally celebrated with food, music and dancing throughout Mexico and the United States. And now it's time for Sydneysiders to join in this celebration of freedom and liberty.

For a whole week - from the Monday 28 April to Monday 5 May - Mad Mex is serving up some of their tastiest dishes from only $5, including delicious veggie nachos and Herradura Margaritas. And, for all the tequila drinkers, Time Out's pick is the $25 Tequila Tasting Flight where you can sample the full range of Herradura tequila and keep all four Mad Mex shot glasses to take home!
